Cybermax, Inc. a leading developer of E-Business solutions, today announced that SpacePlan Commerce (SPC), the company’s new planogram management system will accommodate Shelf Logic planogram software. New York based Shelf Logic is the world’s leading brand of 'dedicated' planogram software. The genesis of SPC grew from a custom application developed for one of Cybermax’s commercial distribution customers, requiring a robust web accessible planogram library system tied to the company’s electronic product catalog and e-Commerce systems. "The client's previous system displayed product and merchandise plans typical of most planogram systems. Planograms were developed independent from the product data, requiring the user to toggle between the view of the plan and the product detail screens in the company’s online product catalog, which was also developed by Cybermax. The planogram system was similarly independent of the company’s inventory and order entry systems, requiring the user to manually re-enter new orders from the planogram system to the online order system. Thus the user would be forced to duplicate the work flows and invest more time to plan and order merchandise. Essentially the client was looking for an integrated, enterprise level solution, tying their planograms to their product catalog and online order processing," notes Cybermax’s vice president of marketing, Bob Touro. Shelf Logic planograms can be accommodated in SpacePlan (SPC) to expand the value proposition by offering a complete application solution to create planograms in Shelf Logic and store them in an online accessible library hosted by the Cybermax SPC database. Planograms can be linked to product images and descriptions housed in a digital product e-Catalog, and ultimately both can be linked to a full e-Commerce capability for online ordering (B2B & B2C) if desired. Ultimately this creates a multi-user access to planograms and product information from anywhere the Internet is available. SPC is available in three versions: - SPC Library System: The Library System module is the base solution comprising a web-enabled Shelf Logic application to manage, store, retrieve and display Shelf Logic planograms in a centralized repository, accessible to anyone within an enterprise with authorization to access and use the plans.
- SPC Product Catalog Management System (PCMS): The Product Catalog System is the enhanced version of the solution offering, encompassing all of the Library System features and adding an integrated Product Catalog Management System (PCMS).
- SPC PCMS with E-Commerce (B2B or B2C): SPC PCMS with E-Commerce encompasses all of the features from the PCMS version and adds a full online E-Commerce capability to transact business online in support of order creation, submission, payment and fulfillment.
