TMS INFONET announced its acquisition of Cybermax, Inc. and its intention to operate under the Cybermax name for present and future operations in United States. TMS INFONET has been associated with Cybermax since 1999, as the architect, designer and builder of several Cybermax’s customer solutions. TMS INFONET headquartered in New Delhi, India has operated continuously in the high tech arena building system solutions for global clients such as Mobil, Mitsubishi, Reckitt Benckiser and Tata Steel. TMS INFONET’s acquisition of Cybermax, Inc. will operate Cybermax as a wholly owned subsidiary of the parent company. The use of the Cybermax name is a logical business decision to capitalize on our past and present affiliation with the company, its clients and our marketing identity, said Indu Jha, Managing Director of TMS INFONET. The Cybermax name has been synonymous with building customized E-Business solutions for customers in the hardware/lumber and building materials (H/LBM) industry for close to a decade, which is a long time in Internet industry terms, adds Jha. Starting its corporate life in early 1998, Cybermax was initially involved in the Internet arena as a local Jacksonville, Florida based web design and hosting concern. The business was purchased by The Riverside Group, a local Jacksonville company with strong ties to the lumber and building materials industry. As a business unit of Riverside, the company targeted businesses with which it had contacts and soon built an enviable clientele of key customers. Key to Cybermax’s early and continued success has been its ongoing relationship with Memphis, Tennessee based Orgill, Inc., the largest independently owned hardware distribution company in the U.S. In concert with Orgill, Cybermax designed and built many leading edge business solutions to allow Orgill to become the industry leader in the online arena. Cybermax built and continues to be the lead developer for www.orgill.com, and other Orgill systems including ProShip, eDropShip, HomeSource Décor and Focused Assortment Planning. Other present and past clients include Delta Machinery/Porter Cable, Lumbermens Merchandising Corporation (LMC), Bostwick-Braun, Midwest Fasteners, Alabama Farmers Cooperative, Windsor Mills, Journal of Light Construction (JLC), Blish-Mize, the National Retail Hardware Association (NRHA) and hundreds of retail hardware and lumber dealer sites for businesses across the U.S. Cybermax President, Som Jha is the lead architect for the company’s advanced technology solutions, working closely with his brother Om Jha, Vice President of Development. Bob Touro, Vice President of Marketing and Business Development rounds out the U.S. based management team for the company. The trio has been together since the early days of Cybermax and continues to work collaboratively on most customer solutions and services. Aside from the U.S. operation, TMS Infonet Pvt. Ltd. Continues to operate its off-shore development and advanced technology center in New Delhi, India. With a large staff of developers and architects located in India, the company is positioned to leverage economies of scale and labor efficiencies, to pass along substantial savings in time and cost to North American based customers, the company’s primary target market. Cybermax's flagship product is a Product Catalog Management Solution (PCMS) which enables a manufacturer or distributor to efficiently wed their product data and inventory information from their in-house computer system via interfaces to Cybermax’s PCMS for web, print or CD output. The benefits and payback are enormous by combining the capability to use company data and information in a variety of outputs for business and marketing purposes. As opposed to having individual systems, Cybermax PCMS generates all output formats via a single integrated application.
